Activity Alliance wanted to create an animated film to complement their impact report, highlighting key accomplishments from the Get Out Get Active programme between 2016 – 2023. The film’s primary goal was to help secure future funding, ensuring the programme continues beyond 2024/25.
As well as a central film, Activity Alliance required shorter edits focusing on key headlines from the project. These videos needed to be engaging, inclusive, and align with the established animation style we had previously developed with them.
We wanted to ensure the animation clearly presented the impact of the programme, demonstrating how sports charities use video storytelling to promote inclusivity and engagement while maintaining a playful and dynamic feel. Instead of simply presenting statistics, we brought them to life by integrating key facts and figures directly into animated scenes, making the data feel more immersive and connected to the people it represents.
To achieve this, we carefully storyboarded each scene, exploring ways to combine imagery and text seamlessly. Given Activity Alliance’s commitment to accessibility, this process was essential in ensuring the final film was as inclusive as possible.
From there, our animation team got to work. This project provided a fantastic opportunity for Junior Animator Charlie to take the lead on illustration and animation, working under the guidance of Dan to bring the visuals to life.
