Our 2D and 3D animation services for charities enable non-profits to transcend traditional storytelling methods, creating engaging and memorable content. Some stories require something out of the ordinary, and can only be told through motion graphics, 2d or 3d animation. Charities can use them to create characters, locations and whole worlds and craft the perfect experience for your audience. It’s a way of making the kind of emotional connection that a film does, without any of the logistical challenges.
At Neck of the Woods Films we set out to produce animations for charities that will stand out and help drive change. We love the work that we do. We’re passionate about helping organisations achieve their goals and connect with people. We’ve helped global organisations, local innovators and even individuals achieve amazing things and we want to do that with you too.
Animated storytelling is a powerful tool for charities, bringing complex ideas to life with creativity and clarity. Here’s how animated video can amplify your mission:
Increase Awareness – Animated awareness campaign videos use engaging visuals to simplify complex topics and connect emotionally with audiences.
Boost Fundraising Efforts – Animated fundraising videos captivate potential donors, illustrating your cause in a compelling and memorable way.
Educate & Train Effectively – Animated training videos break down information clearly, making learning accessible, engaging, and easy to retain.
Showcase Impact – Animated case study videos allow you to tell impactful stories and protect the welfare and anonymity of storytellers in the process.
Engage Online Audiences – Social media thrives on animation, with eye-catching motion graphics and storytelling that boost engagement and sharing.
We’ve worked with charities of all shapes and sizes, from large international charities such as Leprosy Mission and BookAid through to national charities such as GamCare, National Oceanography Centre and Citizens Advice. We’ve made animations to share crucial information, films for national campaigns and personal case studies. Check our showreel for a sample of our work.

Safer London are a charity that work with young Londoners to make sure that they can live lives safe from exploitation, violence and criminality. The charity has countless stories of the young people they’ve supported and the traumatic circumstances that have seen them referred to Safer London. Sharing these stories is important.
Safer London tasked us with creating these charity case study animations that told these stories safely.
The National Oceanography Centre we’re approaching the 20th anniversary of its AMOC (Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation) research.
To mark this milestone, they wanted to create an animated explainer video that would serve as an educational tool for new audiences. The goal was to draw attention to the research, showcase the key impacts of the project, and highlight why continuing this research is essential.
North Somerset Council (NSC) has developed the Physical Activity Strategy 2023-2028, a framework designed to improve health and wellbeing, reduce health inequalities, and increase physical activity levels across the region.
To help communicate this vision, NSC sought an animation that would outline their outcomes and action plan and explain why physical activity matters.
BearFace Theatre CIC are a charity that use Applied Theatre methods to inspire positive change and conflict resolution. They developed a new educational programme called Choices aimed at raising awareness of the difficult challenges faced by individuals impacted by the criminal justice system while providing insight into making safer choices.
The charity asked us to create a short animation that would highlight these topics in a way that felt authentic and accessible.
The charity GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. They developed a new online programme to help individuals better manage and mitigate the harms associated with gambling.
We created a series of explainers animations for the charity to outline each of the four key learning modules.
We work with change makers to create animated films about positive change, human achievement and social impact. It may be the story of a youth programme, or the hero film that spearheads a vital fundraising campaign. If you’re looking to change the world in some way, you need these stories to be told well. Non-profits make our world better every day, but they aren’t always the best at telling these stories. We’re a full service video agency that helps charities do just that.
